Top 10 women of the year
January 4th, 2009 - by Mirjam - (0) Comments

The year 2008 was a bangup one for many women. A woman ran for vice president; a woman nearly ran for president, and in the next administration, women will head the State Department and Homeland Security Department, serve as ambassador to the United Nations and advise President-elect Barack Obama. Not too shabby.

We didn’t have room to celebrate all the women we admire (sorry, Tyra), but we’d like to salute these 10 for embodying the Sun-Times spirit.

Better luck next year, Angelina.

Pink: The outspoken pop star has never approached relationships in a conventional manner. During one of Carey Hart’s pit boarding races, she held up a sign that said, “Will you marry me?” and on the other side, “I’m serious!” When the marriage broke up, Pink penned the defiant anthem “So What” (”I’m still a rock star/I got my rock moves/And I don’t need you”) … and got Hart to appear in the video.

Pink & Carey Hart reunite! Will New Year bring a reconciliation?
January 3rd, 2009 - by Tünde - (0) Comments

For lovers and those in love, New Year’s Eve is a very special night! Promises and resolutions. Maybe even an attempt to right a wrecked marriage? The reunion between torn twosome Pink and Carey Hart, rock music’s reigning hot couple, was eagerly awaited by those of us with the prying eyes and the nosy tongue wagging!

The reunion at the Hard Rock Hotel between the superstar singer and the tattooed motocross stunt king on the second most romantic night of the year was pulled off without a hitch. “It’s obvious that they still care about each other very much,” one spywitness told me. “If they could get whatever problems they have resolved in 2009, you just know they’d love to be back together again.”

Their New Year’s Eve began with a dinner at Nobu at the Hard Rock, but it was the tell-all midnight hour that reignited the sparks. Carey walked his ex-wife from his VIP table right to the stage, and then escorted her to the mic and remained at her side as they toasted each other privately and publicly with champagne after she did the 10 to 1 countdown.

The crowd cheered them — and the arrival of 2009! Nobody could make out what their knowing glances said, but everybody guessed that whatever happens, they will still look after and care for each other. Pink has admitted that she still loves Carey and has one room of her L.A. home dedicated to his memorabilia. She even had him appear in her video for “So What”!

“They simply can’t be apart too long, even if they can’t be together for that long, either,” my club spy said. “They were completely comfortable with each other all night long. There was no tension you’d expect from separated married couples, so they’re obviously getting on beautifully together.”

Pink then rocked Carey’s Wasted Space with a 45-minute show, and Carey was her biggest fan of the night watching with co-owner and New York Yankee Jason Giambi. Pink sang songs from her new album Funhouse.

After her song set, she rejoined Carey, and they hung out at his VIP table until about 2 a.m. We know that Carey also stopped by Body English to check in with Good Charlotte rocker and Wasted Space co-investor Benji Madden, who was guest DJ there for the night.

Now we wait to see if Pink and Carey reunite. After all, Valentine’s Day — the most romantic day of the year — is just six weeks away! You just know Vegas DeLuxe will have its ears and eyes wide open for that magic moment if it happens! Ain’t love grand — even if it is no easy road!

P!nk performing at Wasted Space in Las Vegas (December 31, 2008)
January 2nd, 2009 - by Tünde - (0) Comments

As soon as the clock turned to 2009, Carey Hart only had eyes for one woman: his ex, Pink – but not for obvious reasons.

Rather than sharing a New Year’s kiss at the Las Vegas club Hart owns, “he escorted her to the stage and toasted her at midnight,” an onlooker said. “Then he wished everyone a happy new year. It was very informal.”

As expected, Pink followed the toast with a live performance at Hard Rock Hotel’s Wasted Space.

Before her 30-minute show on the club’s stage, though, she and her ex hung out in the VIP area with other friends.

“They didn’t really talk much, but at midnight Carey grabbed her and took her up to the stage and introduced her. He sort of led her to the stage.”

Later, Pink went back to the VIP area and hung out with friends before leaving the club around 2 a.m.

Seventeen Body Peace Treaty
January 2nd, 2009 - by Tünde - (0) Comments

I vow to…
* Remember that the sun will still rise tomorrow even if I had one too many slices of pizza or an extra scoop of ice cream tonight.
* Never blame my body for the bad day I’m having.
* Stop joining in when my friends compare and trash their own bodies.
* Never allow a dirty look from someone else to influence how I feel about my appearance.
* Quit judging a person solely by how his or her body looks — even if it seems harmless — because I’d never want anyone to do that to me.
* Notice all the amazing things my body is doing for me every moment I walk, talk, think, breathe…
* Quiet that negative little voice in my head when it starts to say mean things about my body that I’d never tolerate anyone else saying about me.
* Remind myself that what you see isn’t always what you get on TV and in ads — it takes a lot of airbrushing, dieting, money, and work to look like that.
* Remember that even the girl who I’d swap bodies with in a minute has something about her looks that she hates.
* Respect my body by feeding it well, working up a sweat when it needs it, and knowing when to give it a break.
* Realize that the mirror can reflect only what’s on the surface of me, not who I am inside.
* Know that I’m already beautiful just the way I am.

Who looked hotter in Vivienne Westwood?
January 2nd, 2009 - by Tünde - (0) Comments

From omg.yahoo.com:

I never would have guessed that supermodel Elle Macpherson and rocker Pink would both gravitate towards the same gown. Well, they did. Elle just happened to wear it first. The Body wowed the crowd in the strapless Vivienne Westwood masterpiece at the Marie Claire Prix de la Mode fete in Madrid … in 2007. The “So What” singer, on the other hand, popped a pose in the fab frock on the red carpet at the 2008 American Music Awards just a little over a month ago. Elle undoubtedly gets points for donning the dress first, but I have to give the slight edge to Pink. Her sexy updo and wild personality just seem to fit the patterned piece a little bit better.

P!nk visits Peace Child (Israelnews item on Guy Pines TV show) in Jaffa. As you can see (she has short black hair) this video isn’t recent, but it’s fun to watch anyway! She’s so cute.

Pink: “Life will be clearer when I’m 30″
December 28th, 2008 - by Mirjam - (0) Comments

Pink has revealed that she thinks her life will become clearer after her 30th birthday next year.

The popstar, currently top of the UK charts with ‘So What’, is hoping that the landmark occasion will provide her with wisdom and insight into the world.

She revealed that this foresight stems from an interest in psychology which she has considered pursuing.

“I’m really, really interested in psychology. If I were to go back to school, I would want to major in psychology, even though I’m a high-school drop-out,” she said.

“I am not really angry at the world. I have let a lot more love in. I feel once you are 30, once your Saturn returns, the world puts you right side up again and gives you a pair of glasses so you can see everything clearer.”

New layout + host
December 27th, 2008 - by Tünde - (1) Comments

Hi everybody!

As you can see we have a new layout! I love Deborah Anderson’s pictures taken for Funhouse, especially the one used in this layout, so… I hope y’all like Iheartpink.org’s new look :)

We finally found a new host too, Fanzoom.net! That’s also the reason that there are some Google Advertisements on the top, but hey, I’m glad we found a host again.

There may still be some problems with the website because of switching hosts. These problems will be solved soon.

Hope y’all had a merry Christmas!

Tünde and Mirjam
